| Rebound Weekend |  |  | | | | Welcome Back Outbound Class of 2009-2010 And, Please Come to the Rebound Re-entry Meeting Seabeck Conference Center Seabeck Washington August 14, 15, & 16, 2010 All Outbound Students of District 5020 returning from their exchange year August 2009-July 2010 are invited, and encouraged, to attend our Rebound Orientation. It will be an opportunity for students to share their recent experience and resolve, through discussion with the other students and professional consultants, any adjustment issues that can occur with their return to home. The cost of this meeting was pre-paid by you with your Outbound Fee. Please contact Laura Neal for more details. Tel 360 930 4448 | Date: | Saturday August 14 through Monday August 16, 2010 | | Where: | Seabeck Christian Conference Center. Located west of Silverdale Washington on the Hood Canal. It can be reached taking the Newberry Hill exit from State Highway 3. Go west (uphill) until it ends at Seabeck Hwy. Go right, down the hill, along water until you reach Seabeck. The Center is located on the left across from the marina behind a lagoon. | | Check-in: | From 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. Meet at the volleyball court area. | | Transportation: | Outbound Students residing in Canada will need to be in Victoria in time to catch the Black Ball Ferry (MV Coho) departing for Port Angeles at 10:30 AM on Saturday (be there 60 minutes early). We will be met in Port Angeles and taken to Seabeck. Bring a PASSPORT in order to enter US immigration. Students residing in the US will need to travel to Seabeck to arrive at 3:30PM. | | Departure: | Canadian students will depart at 9:30 AM on Monday. They will be on the 12.45PM sailing of the Coho from Port Angeles arriving in Victoria around 2:30PM. | | Content: | Beginning at 4:00 PM on Saturday, there will be presentations given on various aspects of your year abroad and your re-entry into home society. There will be games, athletic events and group social events in the late afternoons and evenings | | Please Bring: | · Passport · Casual clothing: jeans, shorts, sweatshirts, athletic shoes · Bedding will be provided by Seabeck Christian Conference Center · Personal funds for purchases (Seabeck has a small community store adjacent to the Center) · Cameras (There will be a group photo session) · Swim Suit · Flashlight · Insect Repellent | | Meals: | Meals will be provided by the Center. No special meals will be prepared. There will be ample vegetables for those who restrict themselves. | | Quarters: | Students will be housed dormitory style in several houses on campus. | | Cost: | The total cost per student will be paid by the District.5020 | |
