District 5020 Conference
WELCOME TO YOUR DISTRICT CONFERENCE AND REUNION
We are soon approaching our ‘reunion’ as we come together to share memories of our year and celebrate the achievements of Rotary District 5020 at the annual District Conference.

Your Rotary club is responsible for your transportation to the District Conference.
STUDENT ACCOMMODATION: : TBD
Transportation: All Transportation to be updated and confirmed as we get closer to the date
Students will depart the Hotel Grand Pacific at 9:30am for the Black Ball Ferry Terminal to board the 10:30am ferry from Victoria to Port Angeles on Sunday May 17th, 2020. Students will need to be picked up at the terminal in Port Angels upon arrival.
Canadian students need to be at the Hotel Grand Pacific @ 463 Belleville Street no later than 2pm. District members will organize students around the island and transport them to Victoria. Jason Bradley will be able to transport students from Campbell River, Courtenay, Qualicum Beach and Nanaimo. Students will need to be in Nanaimo by 9:30am on Thursday May 14th, 2020 (Jason will contact YEO’s directly to arrange transportation)
Students will need to be picked up at the Hotel Grand Pacific by 9:30am on Sunday May 17th, 2020. Jason will be traveling back to Nanaimo and will work out travel arrangements with all Island Students.
Inbound Students Hosted in the USA
US Students will need to be at the COHO Terminal in Port Angeles by Noon for the 12:45pm departure to Victoria on Thursday May 14th, 2020. All US side students must have their passports, Canadian visa for required countries and the "Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1) Status" form (This should be stapled in your passport). Students will not be allowed on the ferry without these documents. Check before you leave home that you have them!

ARRIVAL: We will all arrive at the Hotel Grand Pacific approximately 2:30pm on Thursday May 14th, 2020
DEPARTURE: Sunday morning, May 17
CLOTHING: There are several events planned during your time at the conference. Please check this list carefully…
- Blazer (with pins) for opening flag ceremony
- Rotary District 5020 hoodie for casual wear
- Swim suit----for swimming pool
- More formal wear for the Gala Banquet (clothing should be fitting for a more formal occasion…boys: dress shirt / dress pants…girls: dress or skirt /blouse
- Regular clothing that you would pack for most travel - something you would wear to school

PHONES: : Bring your cell phone with you---- Students traveling from the U.S.---be aware of roaming charges, make sure to turn off roaming if it’s not included in your plan
MONEY: Some spending money----we will have some time downtown to do a little shopping.
