District Youth Exchange Chair & Trip Coordinator

The District Youth Exchange Chair manages Youth Exchange activities within District 5020 and communicates with Rotary International. The chair appoints the District Youth Exchange Committee and defines specific responsibilities for each member while ensuring all program requirements are met. The District Youth Exchange Chair reports to the District Governor and liaises with the District Governor Nominee.

The Short-Term Exchange Program Coordinator (US) develops and maintains relationships with our International STEP exchange partners.  They also work with US club YEOs and STEP outbound students on applications and training to ensure positive Youth Exchange experiences.

The Rebound Coordinator is responsible for the development and maintenance of a Rebound program that promotes Rebound involvement throughout the district and organizes their involvement for three events each year: the Rebound Retreat, District Outbound Interviews, and Outbound Orientation.

The RYE Treasurer administers the YE program Budget and Fiscal Policy, in order to administer RYE funds, and to ensure accountability to the District. This position reports to the Youth Exchange Chair and also to the District Finance Chair.  The RYE Treasurer is a member of the District Finance Committee.
 
US - Dept of State Alternate Responsible Officer

The Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) is the liaison between District 5020 and the US State Department.   The ARO works for the WESSEX Responsible Officer and issues the DS-2019 forms required for US Inbound Students to receive their J-1 Student visas.

The YEAH Database Administrator provides support to the Database Compliance Officers and club YEOS. They keep the system updated and making sure that Country Officers and Compliance Officers follow through on their responsibilities regarding YEAH procedures. 
 
The YEAH Compliance Officer (US) monitors the YEAH database to ensure that Youth Exchange Volunteers, Host Families, Rotary Clubs, and District 5020 maintain with the requirements of Rotary International, the US Department of State (DOS) and D5020 best policies and practices as they pertain to the Youth Exchange Program.

The District Youth Protection Officer is responsible for ensuring that Rotary District 5020 remains compliant with all District and Rotary International Youth Protection requirements related to but not limited to any and all youth programs such as Rotary Youth Exchange, RYLA, Interact, Rotaract, EarlyAct and any Rotary youth programs associated with schools. This position reports to the District Governor.
