Outbound Health Insurance

YOUR OUTBOUND HEALTH INSURANCE

Purchase of medical and accident insurance is a requirement for all students participating in Rotary Youth Exchange programs.  Rotary International has its own set of minimums for coverage, but each country and District may require coverage in excess if those required by Rotary International.  The coverage required by District 5020 exceeds those required by Rotary International, and our limits have been set after exhaustive study and many years of experience. You can download the policy coverage and application form.

All students will apply for District 5020 recommended insurance which is covered by your outbound fee. If you are required to purchase host country insurance, the portion of the program outbound fee that was calculated for our insurance will be refunded after approval and proof of insurance is provided from your host country. This approval must be made by your Country Office.

As an Outbound Student from District 5020, the Insurance recommended by your sponsoring District may not be sufficient for your host district. Please contact your District 5020 Country Officer to see if your country requires its own insurance coverage.
